Batist van Baekel (BE) is an exceptional contemporary circus artist renowned for his mastery of object manipulation and acrobatic movement. His love affair with the circus began at the age of 7 when he joined the summer camp of Circus Atelier Circolito, where he was captivated by the enchanting world of warmth, magic, and intricate performances. Batist's artistic journey is fueled by his fascination with the human body and its dynamic relationship with objects and others. After graduating from Codarts circus arts in Rotterdam in 2022, he took a bold step forward and established his own company, Jam.Shenanigans. In addition to his solo endeavors, Batist has had the privilege of collaborating with companies such as Gandini Juggling and not standing / Alexander Vantournhout for SCREWS.
Jessica Eirado Enes (IT) is a dancer, originally from Italy and currently based in Brussels. Her versatile talent has led her to collaborate with artists such as Jason Mabana, Zemiata, Compagnia Petranura Danza, Sam Coren, La Macana, Annamaria Ajmone, Gabriella Maiorino, Loris Petrillo, Ming Poon, Roberto Zappalà, and many others. Since 2020, Jessica has been part of the SCREWS, performing more than a 100 times. In 2022 she joined Contre-jour. Jessica is co-artistic director in the company My Homeless Lover alongside Eddie Oroyan. Their remarkable collaboration has resulted in the production Pasta e Lava, and they are currently in the process of creating a new performance titled IVY. Furthermore, Jessica shares her knowledge and expertise through teaching workshops across Europe and the USA.
The journey of Nick Robaey (BE) began with a successful basketball career that saw him reach high levels of competition. Nick's early passion for sports eventually led him to transition from multiple competitive sports to the realms of dance and theater in his early twenties, following the completion of his master's degree in physiotherapy.
Since 2021, Nick has found his artistic home with not standing, where he continues to explore and expand his artistic boundaries. As a performer Nick is part of both SCREWS and Foreshadow.
After graduating from P.A.R.T.S. in 2012, Esse Vanderbruggen (BE) started working as a freelance performer, outside eye and movement advisor for and with several dance-, theater- and circus companies in Belgium and abroad such as Kubilai Khan Investigations, Isabella Soupart, not standing, Compagnie Monica, Collectif Malunes & Petite Foule Productions. Since 2012 she’s been closely collaborating with Vera Tussing, joining her research on tactility, collectivity & consent in dance and performance. As a performer and rehearsal director Esse currently collaborates with not standing (Contre-Jour, SCREWS, Foreshadow), Petite Foule Production (Le Tir Sacré), Colletif Malunes (Bit by Bit) and Lee/Vakulya (BURNT).
Harrison Claxton (UK/BE) received his degree from London Contemporary dance school also winning the Duke of York award whilst training. His practice involves various types of performance art such as Acrobatics, Circus, Krump/Breakdancing and Contemporary dance.
As well as working with not standing / Alexander Vantournhout (SCREWS), Harrison has recently worked with choreographers/companies such as Matsena Productions, Trisha Beatrix Simkó,Talitha de Decker, The Wee dance company, KMDT, Leila Mcmillan, Saju Hari and Theo Adams company performing with people such as Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith and Years and Years.
Charlotte Cétaire (FR/BE) has been dancing, acting and practicing martial arts from an early age. After following a dance training in Coline (France), she trained in P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels). As an actress, Charlotte was also part of films including Après La Guerre by Annarita Zambrano. Since 2021, Charlotte has been part of the SCREWS cast and participated in several researches of the company.
