Axel Guérin (BE) is an acrobat specializing in duo acro-dance and floor-based acrobatics. With a deep passion for body movement, Axel began honing his circus skills at Circolito, a youth-circus school. Following his secondary school graduation, he embarked on a transformative journey in Bristol, where he joined Circomedia, his first formal circus school, and crossed paths with his partner, Winston Reynolds.
After two enriching years in Bristol, Axel and Winston ventured to Tilburg to further their studies at Fontys, the renowned academy of circus and performing arts. Since then, Axel has been working as a solo artist, in duo and in group for multiple companies. He performed with Pirates Of The Carabina (Flown, UK), as well as with two Belgian based companies: Janni Van Goor/Kopergieterij (family trees) and Grensgeval (PLOCK!).
Over the past few years, Axel Guérin has been collaborating with Alexander Vantournhout both as a performer and research collaborator in productions such as Red Haired Men, SCREWS, Through the Grapevine, Foreshadow and Frames.

Axel Guérin, Chia-Hung Chung, Emmi Väisänen and Esse Vanderbruggen are, together with Alexander Vantournhout, the core of Not Standing’s artistic team. They have been with the company for several years and created and performed several shows together. They have a deep understanding of Not Standing's movement language and take on different artistic roles— as performers, teachers, rehearsal directors, artistic assistants or even fleet managers. These performers not only embody but also expand and enrich the movement language, contributing to the growth of the artistic Not Standing-universe.
